Weavily

The Weavily license, in plain English

Every brand kit ships with a LICENSE.txt. This page is the human-readable version — what you can do with your logo, and when (if ever) you owe us a credit line.

Two licenses, one rule

Every logo you weave is yours to use commercially, forever, worldwide — on websites, products, packaging, merch, ads, apps and video. The only variable is attribution:

  • Attribution license — free, included with every generation. Show a visible “Made with Weavily” credit for 6 months; after that it lifts automatically.
  • Commercial license — a one-time £50 that removes the credit requirement immediately and permanently, across your whole account.

The exact license attached to a project is shown on its project page and written into the LICENSE.txt inside the brand-kit ZIP. This page explains the same terms; if wording ever differs, the Terms of Service and your kit’s LICENSE.txt control.

The Attribution license (free)

Included with every weave, no purchase beyond the generation credit:

  • Grant. A worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce and display the logo and brand assets in your kit, for personal and commercial purposes.
  • The credit. Wherever the logo is used publicly — websites, applications, printed materials, video — display a visible “Made with Weavily” attribution: a website footer, an app about screen, printed credits. It must be legible and not hidden, obscured or removed.
  • The clock. The credit is required for 6 months from when the license is issued. At expiry it auto-lifts — no action, no payment — and your use continues under the same grant, credit-free.
  • The upgrade. Want it gone sooner? The £50 Commercial license removes the requirement the moment you pay.

The Commercial license (£50, one-time)

One payment of £50 — no subscription, no renewal:

  • Grant. A worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify and display the logo and brand assets for any personal or commercial purpose.
  • No attribution, ever. The “Made with Weavily” requirement is removed immediately on purchase and never returns.
  • Account-wide. One purchase lifts attribution from every logo on your account, including ones you weave later.

You can buy it from any project page or from the pricing page; your updated LICENSE.txt is included in subsequent brand-kit downloads.

Common questions

Can I use a Weavily logo for client work?
Yes. You can deliver a Weavily-generated logo to a client as part of your design or agency work. The license travels with the logo: while the attribution period is active, the client’s use of the logo needs the “Made with Weavily” credit — so either keep the credit on their site for the 6 months, or buy the £50 Commercial license and hand it over clean. What you can’t do is bulk-generate logos and resell them as a template pack or stock library.
Does social media use need attribution?
Using your logo as a profile picture, watermark or in posts is fine under both licenses. During the attribution period the credit doesn’t need to appear on every post — a visible “Made with Weavily” in your profile bio, link-in-bio page, or website footer satisfies the requirement.
Can I publish an app with this logo on app stores?
Yes — app icons, store listings and in-app branding are all covered commercial uses. Under the Attribution license, put the “Made with Weavily” credit somewhere visible, such as the app’s about screen or your store listing description, for the 6-month period. With the Commercial license, no credit is needed anywhere.
Can I register the logo as a trademark?
Both licenses give you ownership of the generated assets, and we don’t stop you from seeking registration — but neither license is a trademark clearance. AI-generated marks are not guaranteed unique, similar outputs may be produced for other users, and registrability of AI-generated works varies by jurisdiction. Run a proper trademark search and talk to an attorney before filing. See the AI disclaimer in our Terms.
What happens after the 6-month attribution period?
Nothing you need to do: the attribution requirement lifts automatically at the end of the period and your license simply continues — perpetual, worldwide, commercial use included. The £50 license exists for people who want the credit gone on day one.
Does the £50 license cover all my logos?
Yes. The Commercial license is a one-time purchase that removes the attribution requirement across every logo on your account — past and future — permanently.

The fine print

Both licenses share the same boundaries:

  • No reselling the raw assets. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the kit’s files as stand-alone assets — logo template packs, stock libraries, or a competing generation service.
  • Non-exclusive. AI models can produce similar marks for similar briefs, so no Weavily license guarantees uniqueness.
  • No trademark clearance. Weavily does not search or clear trademarks. You are responsible for clearance and registration in your jurisdiction — see the AI disclaimer in our Terms.
  • As-is. Assets are provided without warranty; the full warranty disclaimer and liability cap live in the Terms of Service.
